Joint Committee

A Joint Committee of Faculty and Students is established within the Department, and it is entrusted with the following functions:

Monitoring the educational offering, the quality of teaching, and the student support activities provided by faculty members, through evaluations, reviews, and statistical analyses of various aspects of academic activities;

Identifying criteria for assessing the outcomes of teaching and student services, monitoring teaching activities, and proposing initiatives to the Department Council aimed at improving the organization of teaching;

Providing opinions to the Department Council on the activation and discontinuation of degree programs, on the revision of academic curricula and course regulations, and on the consistency between the credits assigned to educational activities and the corresponding learning objectives.

The Joint Committee is convened for its first meeting by the Department Director and elects a Chair from among its members, who calls meetings at least twice a year.
It is composed of the student representatives on the Department Council and an equal number of faculty members, appointed by the same Council.

The Joint Committee serves a two-year term, and its members may be immediately reappointed once.
